Mr. Hyatt will discuss FIVE PILLARS OF INTERNET PROTOCOL ADDRESS MANAGEMENT (IPAM) INTELLIGENCE. IP-based infrastructures form the cornerstone of today’s high speed voice and data communications networks. The increasing numbers and types of network attached devices, the dwindling supply of available IP addresses, transition from IPv4 to IPv6, and the need for ‘always-on / always accessible / always secure’ corporate and government networks are driving requirements for sophisticated IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions. These solutions offer tools to monitor and control the IP address space, prevent address conflicts, reclaim and reallocate unused addresses, and predict address requirements, all in accordance with network governance & security policies. They are considerably more functional and secure than the legacy IPAM solutions, spreadsheets and other ‘homegrown’ systems that are commonplace today. In his presentation, Richard Hyatt will focus on how the latest innovations in centralizing the management of DNS and DHCP services gives IT administrators the necessary network intelligence to reduce operational costs while enhancing network reliability and security. Specifically, Mr. Hyatt will discuss the ‘Five Pillars of Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) Intelligence’: Management, Visibility, Integration, Continuity and Control.
