Dr. Rusinkiewicz will discuss NETWORK SECURITY AND INFORMATION ASSURANCE RESEARCH AT TELCORDIA APPLIED RESEARCH LABORATORIES. Since Telcordia (formerly Bell Communication Research) was formed in 1984 as a result of the AT&T Divestiture, one of its responsibilities is to act as single point of contact with the federal government in matters dealing with national security. Today, network security and information assurance constitute a major component of research activities at Telcordia. Telcordia Applied Research (AR) Labs provide a range of R&D and consulting services to internal, government, and commercial customers. In my talk I will describe several projects carried out at AR in the areas related to cyber security, including malicious code detection, intrusion detection, denial of service mitigation, and network monitoring.
